Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Please read this first. Everything on Treasury Unlocked, including our courses, templates, tools and articles, is our own content and reflects our own opinions and experience. It is general education, not advice. Please don't make any decision based solely on our content. For each subject, such as treasury, finance, accounting, tax or law, take advice from a qualified adviser in that area who knows your circumstances.
These terms apply to your use of treasuryunlocked.com (the “Website”) and to any product you buy or access through it. By using the Website or making a purchase, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully and save or print a copy for your records.
In these terms:
“we”, “us” and “our” mean Treasury Unlocked;
“you” and “your” mean the person using the Website or buying a product;
a “product” is anything we offer through the Website, free or paid, including courses, templates, downloads and tools (see section 2);
“content” means everything on the Website and in our products, including videos, text, slides, templates, spreadsheets, diagrams and tool results.
Other terms, such as “consumer”, “business customer” and “Paid Product”, are explained where they first appear.
1. Who can buy
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal adulthood where you live if that is higher, to buy a product or create an account. Our products are designed for adults and are not intended for anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may not buy a product or create an account for someone under 18.
In these terms, a “consumer” is an individual buying mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. A “business customer” is anyone buying for business purposes, including an employer buying access for staff. Some sections apply only to consumers, and we say so where they do.
2. Our products
We provide online educational content and practical resources on finance, business and related professional topics. Our products include:
Courses: online lessons, such as pre-recorded videos, and related materials;
Templates and downloads: spreadsheets, documents and other files you can download and use;
Tools: online tools such as self-assessments and calculators, including the Corporate Treasury Health Check;
Free content: articles, preview lessons, free tools and other free material.
Some products are free and some are paid. In these terms, any product you pay for is a “Paid Product”. Each product's page describes what is included and its price, and may set out extra terms that apply to that product.
We describe each product as accurately as we can. We may update products over time, for example by refreshing lessons, templates or tools, but we won't make changes that significantly reduce what you paid for. We may also add new products or stop offering existing ones.
3. Educational purposes only
All our content, including courses, templates, tools and articles, is general education. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice for any particular person or organisation, and it doesn't create an adviser–client relationship. We are not authorised or regulated by any financial or professional regulator to give advice.
Our content is not written for any one country. Laws, regulations, accounting standards, tax rules and market practice differ between countries and change over time, and our content may not reflect the rules or latest position that apply to you.
Examples and case studies, including fictional companies such as RDK Solutions, are for illustration only. Any figures, rates or results in them are examples, not forecasts or recommendations.
Templates, spreadsheets and tools are provided as starting points. You are responsible for checking that they suit your purpose, that your inputs are correct, and that the results are accurate before you rely on them.
We don't guarantee any particular result from using our products, such as passing an exam, getting a job or improving your organisation's performance.
Our content reflects our own views. It does not represent the views of any current or past employer of anyone involved in creating it.
Don't make any decision for yourself or your organisation based solely on our content. Before acting, take advice from a qualified professional in each relevant subject, such as treasury, finance, accounting, tax or law, who knows your circumstances.
4. Online tools, including the Health Check
Our online tools, such as the Corporate Treasury Health Check, work on predetermined rules. Each answer you give is linked to a set score and to standard comments and recommendations that we wrote in advance. Your results are put together automatically from those standard responses. No one reviews your answers, and the results are not a tailored analysis of your organisation.
Because the responses are standard, some recommendations may not fit your organisation's size, sector, country or circumstances. Results also depend on the accuracy and completeness of your answers. We may change the questions, scoring and responses over time. Results are not an audit, assurance review, certification or professional opinion.
Reports and results are for your own or your organisation's internal use. Please don't present them to others as an independent assessment or certification.
When you use a tool, you confirm that you are allowed to share any information you enter about your organisation. Please don't enter confidential, commercially sensitive or price-sensitive information, or personal information about other people.
Some tools may ask you to register or give your email address before you can use them or see your results. How we use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
5. Your account
You may need an account to access some products. When you create one, you must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
Your account is for you alone. You must not share your login details or let anyone else use your account. If several people in your organisation need access, each person needs their own account, for example through a team licence.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away at info@treasuryunlocked.com.
We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe it is being shared or used in breach of these terms (see section 11).
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. Closing it ends your access to any Paid Products held in your account. You can keep using files you have already downloaded, within the licence in section 11. Closing your account doesn't entitle you to a refund, except under sections 7 and 12.
6. Buying a product
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any taxes we are required to charge. The price you see at checkout is the total you pay us. If you pay in another currency, your bank or card provider sets the exchange rate and may charge its own fees.
Payments are processed securely at checkout by Squarespace Payments. Your payment details are handled by Squarespace and its payment partners, and we never see or store your full card details. Squarespace's own terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment.
A contract between you and us is formed when we confirm your order by email. That email will include a link to these terms and confirm any consent you gave at checkout. We will then give you access to what you have bought.
If we make an obvious pricing error, we will contact you and you may cancel for a full refund.
Promotional prices, such as a founding price, apply only for the period stated and don't affect what existing customers paid.
7. Your right to cancel (consumers)
If you are a consumer, you may cancel within 14 days from the day your order is confirmed and receive a full refund. We offer this wherever you live, and it is in addition to any cancellation rights you have under the law of your country.
However, our Paid Products are digital content. At checkout we ask you to confirm that you want access to begin immediately and that you understand you will lose your right to cancel once access begins. If you give that confirmation and then start using the product, for example by opening a paid lesson, starting a download or using a paid tool, the 14-day right to cancel no longer applies. Free previews don't count as starting a product.
To cancel while the right still applies, tell us clearly by emailing info@treasuryunlocked.com with your name, the product and your order date. You can use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms, but you don't have to. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your request, using the original payment method, at no cost to you.
This section applies only to consumers. If you buy as a business customer (see section 1), you don't have this right to cancel, and the refund terms in section 8 apply.
8. Refunds
Apart from your rights in sections 7 and 12, we do not offer refunds once you have started a Paid Product, for example by opening a paid lesson, downloading a file or using a paid tool.
9. Access to your products
Courses and online tools. Where a product page says “lifetime access”, it means you can access that course or tool, including any updates we make to it, for as long as we continue to operate the Website and offer that product. It does not mean for your lifetime or ours.
Templates and downloads. Once you have bought a download, you can keep and use your copy under the licence in section 11. Please save your own copy, as we can't guarantee that files will stay available to download from your account. We may release updated versions of templates, but we don't have to.
If we stop offering a product. If we stop offering a course or tool you have paid for, we will give you at least 60 days' notice by email. During that time you can keep using it, and we will make the materials available to you in another form, such as downloadable files. If you bought the product within the previous month, you may choose a partial refund instead.
We aim to keep the Website available at all times but can't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access briefly for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control (see section 14).
10. Certificates
We don't currently issue certificates. If we offer certificates of completion in the future, they will confirm only that you have completed a course on our platform. They will not be a professional qualification, and they will not be accredited by any professional body unless we clearly say so for a particular course.
11. How you may use our content
All content on the Website, including courses, videos, text, slides, templates, spreadsheets, diagrams, tools and the Treasury Unlocked name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. When you buy or access a product, you receive a licence to use it as set out below. You do not become the owner of the content.
Courses and online tools. You may view and use them for your own learning and work. Your licence is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable.
Templates and downloads. You may download, adapt and use them in your own work, including work you do for your employer or your clients. Completed files containing your own data are yours to use and share as you need. You may not share, sell or publish the template itself, whether blank or lightly edited, or make it available for others to download.
Free content. You may share links to our free articles and quote short extracts, as long as you credit Treasury Unlocked and link back to the original.
You must not:
share your login, or let anyone else use your account (see section 5);
download, record, copy, resell, publish or distribute course content or tools, except as allowed above;
use our content to create competing courses, templates, tools or training materials;
use our content to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models;
remove or change any copyright or ownership notices on our content;
use the Website unlawfully, interfere with its security or operation, or scrape it with automated tools.
If you breach this section, we may suspend or end your access. We will usually contact you first, unless the breach is serious. If we end your access because of a serious breach, we won't give a refund unless the law requires us to.
For team or company access, contact us about a team licence.
12. If something is wrong with a product
Our Paid Products should be of reasonable quality and match how we describe them. If something is wrong, for example a lesson won't play, a file won't open or a template has a formula error, email us at info@treasuryunlocked.com with details. We will try to fix it or send you a corrected version. If we can't, we will give you some or all of your money back.
A product isn't faulty just because its general content or standard recommendations don't fit your circumstances, or because laws or practice have changed since it was written (see sections 3 and 4).
Consumers: depending on where you live, consumer law may also give you rights when digital content is faulty or not as described. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
13. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
Because our content is educational only (section 3), we are not responsible for decisions you or your organisation make based on it, or for any business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, contracts, business opportunity or data.
We are not responsible for errors or losses that come from inaccurate or incomplete information you enter into our tools or templates, or from changes you make to our templates.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to the paragraph above, our total liability to you for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid us for that product. If the product was free, we have no liability to you except where the law does not allow us to exclude it.
Business customers: if you buy for business purposes, including a team licence, we are not liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss.
14. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Examples include a failure or change in service by our website, hosting or payment providers (such as Squarespace), internet or power outages, cyber-attacks, natural disasters, pandemics, government action, or serious illness or injury affecting the people who run Treasury Unlocked.
If this happens, we will tell you as soon as we reasonably can and take reasonable steps to limit the effect. If a Paid Product is unavailable for more than 30 days in a row because of such an event, contact us and we will offer you a fair solution, such as extended access, the materials in another format or a partial refund.
15. Free content and third-party links
Free content and free tools are provided as they are. We don't guarantee that they are complete, accurate or up to date, and we may change, limit or remove them at any time. Some free content or tools may ask for your email address before you can use them.
The Website may link to other websites and platforms, such as LinkedIn or Udemy. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, products or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
16. Your personal data and emails
We use your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy at treasuryunlocked.com/privacy-policy. It also explains how our website uses cookies and how you can change your cookie choices.
When you buy a product or create an account, we will send you emails needed to provide it, such as order confirmations and important notices about your products. We will send you marketing emails, such as our newsletter, offers and promotions, if you have agreed to receive them. If you buy from us, we may also email you about similar products of ours, unless you opt out when you buy or later. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any of them.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in law or in our products. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. The version in force when you buy a product applies to that purchase. We will tell you by email about any change that significantly affects a product you have already bought.
18. Complaints
If you have a problem, please email info@treasuryunlocked.com first so we can try to put it right. We aim to reply within 5 working days and to resolve complaints within 14 days. If you are a consumer and we can't resolve your complaint, you may also be able to contact a consumer advice organisation in your country.
19. Other important terms
The product page for what you buy and your order confirmation also form part of your agreement with us.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another person or organisation, for example if the business is sold. We will tell you if this happens, and it won't affect your rights.
You may not transfer your rights to anyone else.
If a court decides that part of these terms is invalid, the rest will still apply.
If we delay enforcing these terms, we can still enforce them later.
Only you and we have rights under these terms.
These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version applies if there is any difference.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you are a consumer, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and nothing in these terms takes away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of that country.
